Turning Compassion Into Concrete Help

The Self Care Center was founded in Bellevue, Washington, with one unwavering belief: that every individual, regardless of background or circumstance, deserves access to practical support when life becomes overwhelming.

We bridge the gap between crisis and stability through emergency financial relief, medical cost assistance, mental wellness resources, and pathways back to independence.

Our Vision

A Greater Seattle where no family faces a crisis alone and every person has the resources to rebuild and flourish.

Our Mission

Deliver compassionate, immediate, and long-lasting support to individuals navigating unexpected hardship.

Principles That Guide Everything We Do

Compassion First

Every person who walks through our doors is met with genuine warmth and empathy. We see the human before the hardship.

Dignity & Respect

We honor the courage it takes to ask for help by treating every member with unconditional respect and zero judgment.

Radical Transparency

We are open about how donations are used, how decisions are made, and how we measure community impact.

Community as Core

By connecting people to each other, we amplify impact far beyond what any single resource can achieve.

Speed When It Counts

We streamline intake so help arrives when it's needed most — because crises don't follow business hours.

Long-Term Empowerment

Relief is step one. We invest in coaching, education, and skill-building to build lasting independence.
